To travel to Portugal, one must have ETIAS Authorization Portugal
Anyone travelling to Portugal from any country that does not allow visa-free travel to Schengen must apply through the ETIAS Visa Waiver Program. Canadian citizens can apply online. If you have an email address and a passport with biometrics, you can apply online. You will get a reply within 24 hours. The entire process takes less than 10 mins. The authorization from ETIAS Authorization Portugal can be used for three years. After the expiration of the validity period, authorization cannot be renewed. The ETIAS visa waiver must be used in conjunction with your travel documents. If your passport is lost or stolen, you must apply for ETIAS again.
ETIAS is valid only for ETIAS members. These countries all belong to Schengen or the EU. The EU is not part of the Schengen area. CITIZENS OF VISA-EXEMPT COUNTRIES

CHILDREN AND MINORS
ETIAS visa waiver requirements do not consider age. Border officials will require proof that both adults and children have submitted electronic ETIAS Authorizaiton Portugal requests. - Medical insurance coverage.
